Follow Daily Mail Sport's live coverage as the United States - including superstar Folarin Balogun - take on Belgium in the last 16 of the World Cup in Seattle.

Despite the win, it appears the Belgians still might not be over the red-card controversy...

Even injury wasn't stopping Onana from celebrating.

The midfielder may be unable to face Spain in the next round but the Belgian star wasn't letting that dampen his spirits.

He hobbled out onto the field on his crutches to celebrate with his teammates.

Mauricio Pochettino, who has been offered a new deal by the USSF, confessed that his team was not up to their usual standard against Belgium.

The US head coach admitted to Fox's Jenny Taft that ultimately their opponents were better than them.

USA's World Cup dream is OVER: Belgium score four to dump hosts out

DANIEL MATTHEWS IN SEATTLE: Even though USA star Balogun was controversially cleared to play, it was Belgian striker Charles De Ketelaere who decided this World Cup showdown.

In the midst of the final chaotic minutes, Onana's return went unnoticed.

The Belgian star who exited the game early in the first half after going down injured made his way back to the sidelines.

But it doesn't look good for the midfielder, who hobbled back out on crutches.

Last minute goal scorer Lukaku dedicated his strike to his teammate, holding up an Onana shirt during his celebrations.

Despite the victory, it's somewhat of a blow for the Belgians.

The US bench is visibly emotional as stars Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie are left in tears.

The USA's fairytale World Cup run comes to a brutal end in Seattle as they are thrashed 4-1 by Belgium.

After a dominant start to the tournament, the American side looked almost unrecognizable this evening.

It was a shambolic performance defensively with the USA falling apart at the back under the pressure of the Belgian attack.

Pochettino's side had dreamed of reaching the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time since 2002. Instead, they are joining co-hosts Canada and Mexico in elimination.

Meanwhile, it is Belgium who will advance to face tournament favorites Spain in the next round.

It was always going to need a miracle for the USA but now there is truly no hope.

It's another sloppy mistake from the United States as Richards gets in a tangle down the left-hand side and ends up losing the ball.

Lukaku seizes the chance and pounces on the loose ball before picking his pot and slotting it home.

To their credit, the USA haven't lost hope just yet.

They keep knocking but with just four minutes of injury time, two goals feels like to big of an ask.

It's safe to say Barstool chief Dave Portnoy isn't taking this one well...

After all the furor of the past few days, Balogun has the chance to prove the controversy was all worth it.

The striker on a really good run down the left-hand side and works his way into the box.

He tries to squeeze it past Courtois at his near post but the Belgian keeper knocks it away.
